Round 4

So here we are in our 4th round of treatment. I honestly thought we'd be pregnant by now considering all of our test came back fine and there isn't anything wrong with either of us, but unfortunately we're not. =( I was told by the doctor recently that the average couple only has a 20% chance of getting pregnant each month! Can you believe it...20%!!! I was shocked when I heard that. The reason being is because a woman only ovulates for 12-24 hrs out of the whole month! Which means timing has to be perfect! Who would have thunk it! This whole time I thought I'd get pregnant the minute I got off the pill. Boy was I wrong!

After seeing the doctor a couple weeks ago, he recommended to try the same treatment for one more month before we even discuss the "I" word...INJECTIONS!!! Ugh...I'm soooo afraid! Jaime & I are praying we don't have to get to that point but chances are if the treatment we're on now doesn't work by the 3rd or 4th attempt then it won't work at all. If we do have to do the injections our chances of having multiples increases dramatically. Can you imagine...we could be Jaime & Janelle plus 8!!! OMG!!! Just the thought stresses me out! The chances of that really happening though are very slim. Most often the results are only twins which is still alot but at this point we'll take what we can get! Who knows if we'll ever get pregnant again. Jaime & my grandma actually want twins! Can you believe it!?!? They want twin boys! My grandma thinks they'd bring good luck and she already offered to help babysit. Hahaha!!! She is too funny! We'll see what happens...I'm just taking it one day at a time and hoping that this will be our lucky month. I pray everday that it'll finally happen for us. I know it's all in God's hands so we'll see what he decides. Hopefully we'll have some good news soon! Please keep us in your prayers! Thanks again to everyone that has supported us through this rough time in our lives. We truly appreciate it!!!

My first trip to the shooting range!

Today Jaime took me to the shooting range for the very first time. My dad & grandpa use to go when I was younger and I always wanted to go with them but of course being a girl they never let me go. Luckily, Jaime was recently introduced to this crazy adrenaline rushing pass time by his coworkers and since he was off today & I was home early from work we decided to go to the indoor range here in town. I gotta tell ya when we walked through those doors and I could hear the shots being fired my heart definitely started pounding. As we waited to get our guns & ammo I began to get VERY anxious. I started to get real hot, my palms were clammy, & my heart was beating out of my chest! My "Oh Shit-O-Meter" was definitely rising & fast! hahaha!!! I had no idea I'd be so nervous!

After finally getting everything situated we walked into the shooting range. I couldn't believe how loud it was in there, I even had on earplugs AND earmuffs. The sounds of the gunshots were even more intense inside the range, you can actually feel the vibrations when they go off. It was quite an experience. After somewhat getting use to the noise and Jaime showing me how to use the gun, it was finally my turn. I had never held a gun before, let alone shoot one, so this was definitely a memory I'll never forget. I was sooooo nervous!!! As I aimed for the bulls eye I could feel my hands shaking. I tried to keep as still as possible before finally taking my first shot. All I can say is...WOA!!!! Jaime warned me it was a rush but I had no idea! It was CRAZY!!!! Scary but a great natural high! Before I knew it we were out of bullets and it was time to go. =( I must say this was a really great experience and I'm glad that Jaime took me. Hopefully we can go back sometime soon since it's not too far from our house. =)

Here's a couple of pics Jaime took of me shooting for the very first time...I used a Glock 22 (.40 caliber)
He also shot a video which I wasn't aware of. Check out the recoil...I think that's what I was scared of the most!

Here's my final results...
Not too bad I guess for my first time. I was just glad I hit the bulls eye atleast once. =)
